Border controls extended for indefinite amount of time: Border controls extended for indefinite amount of time
German federal minister of the interior Thomas de Maizière wants to extend controls of refugees at the German border for an indefinite amount of time. They were set to last only until mid-February. He could not foresee a point in time at which the controls could be lifted, de Maizière said in the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk. Originally, Germany introduced border controls as a temporary measure in September of last year. However, it was since extended several times.
